Application Process
Selection Criteria
- Priority is given to companies with strong ties to SBU (e.g., licensing technology, faculty collaboration, hiring graduates, internships).
- Applicants should be able to clearly articulate why SBU is the right fit over commercial space.
1. Rolling Admission
LIHTI, CEWIT, and AERTC incubators continuously accept applications from startup, high-tech businesses.
2. Initial Contact
Tour LIHTI facility and explore your options with LIHTI Team on your business needs.
3. Formal Application
Complete and submit the online application to the Incubator Selection and Review Committee (ISRC).
4. Start-up Pitch & Final Review
ISRC reviews the application.
You’ll be asked to prepare a 5-slide presentation (template provided).
A guided Zoom interview will be scheduled (10-minute presentation + 10-minute Q&A).
